Romance served as the yardstick against which each element of the shoot was measured. We used a real couple, with real smiles and real chemistry.
We wanted to incorporate beautiful olive trees and create a setting where you could just as well have been in romantic Italy. The soft olive greens complemented the warm Marsala beautifully and set the tone for a very romantic atmosphere.
We brought in a round, intimate table and painted the chairs with a shade of Marsala; we did same with the cake table. To complement the environment, we decided on wooden tables and vintage props, together with some glass and crystal candelabras.
Gold touches introduced some sophistication and an antique feel. We designed classic gold-foiled stationery and used gold cutlery, gold-rimmed glassware and gold-leafed side plates to contrast the Marsala elements.
